Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin born 1931 in Sverdlovsk. Russian
politician, president of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist
Republic 1990-91 and of the newly independent Russian Federation
from 1991. Survived a coup in 1993. Hospitalized twice in 1995
due to a heart condition.
