ZAPRUDER - ABRAHAM ZAPRUDER - Dallas dress maker, who filmed the 1963 assassination of JFK on his cine camera. The film has become one of the most famous pieces of film ever taken, it has been analyzed hundreds of times by the authorities and conspiracy theorists. The two major investigations into the assassination, the Warren Commission in 1963-1964 and House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1977-1978, relied on it to answer questions about how the shooting happened.. Zapruder sold his copy of the film (two more where made at the time of developing for the F.B.I.) for $25,000 which he gave to the Firemen's and Policemen's Fund. Abraham Zapruder died of cancer in Dallas on August 30th 1970
