THE BLACK HORSE refered to in the lyrics is the logo of the Lloyds TSB banking group.
during the 1970's and 80's the then Lloyds bank used the black horse in all its television advertising campains,
usually a real horse, and even today the horse features in the groups adverts, only now the horse is animated.
